Mirjam Kay „MK“ Mashkour, Jahrgang 1992, ist eine freie Autorin und Journalistin, u.a. Mitarbeiterin des Freitag.  Tochter eines verstorbenen katholischen Priesters und einer sehr lebendigen Buchfigur Martin Walsers. Liest trotzdem oder deswegen nichts mehr von Walser. Nebenjobs als Kellnerin, Barkeeperin und Comicbuchladen-Aushilfe bis zum Abitur 2013. Bachelorabschluss Kreatives Schreiben und Kulturjournalismus in Hildesheim, zwischendurch International Affairs an der Universität Bologna. Seit 2017 Master in European and Comparative Law an der Sapienza Universität in Rom und Arbeit am Debütroman.

Mirjam Kay “MK” Mashkour, born 1992 in Aachen (border of Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium). MK is a freelance writer and journalist. Her main research topics are international relations and underground culture. She published many articles in blogs, newspapers and magazines, such as Berlin Online, Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung, and the Berlin-based „opinion medium“ Der Freitag. MK has a bachelor degree in creative writing and cultural journalism from the literature institute of the University of Hildesheim. She published her first short story in 2015. After studying Politics as an Erasmus student at the University of Bologna, MK has now started her master in European and Comparative Law at the Sapienza University of Rome and is also working on her first novel.
